Optical switch testing spans the ocean
Optical switches are fast becoming a component of choice for telecom engineers who develop reconfigurable networks. With optical switching, you don't have to convert optical signals to electrical signals and back just to configure a network. To learn more about the testing of optical switches, Martin Rowe spoke with the engineers a Polatis, a company that designs and manufactures optical switches in the US and in the UK, with duplicate test systems at each location.
