-- Test & Measurement World, 8/16/2007 2:41:00 PM
A key driver for LAN/WAN test equipment demand is security testing, which has contributed to the high growth rates that the security-test-equipment market has recently witnessed, according to analysts at Frost & Sullivan. The consulting company’s Test & Measurement Group will discuss its latest findings at its quarterly analyst briefing on the LAN/WAN test-equipment market on August 22 at 10:00 a.m. CDT.
The company will comment on the need for secured networks that are shielded from hackers and protected from virus attacks as well as other potential losses. Highlights of the briefing will include analysis of the LAN/WAN test equipment market and the security test equipment market as well as revenue forecasts and drivers, restraints and challenges prevailing in both markets.
"Vendors continue to face the challenge of educating end users in the LAN/WAN test equipment market as new technologies emerge at a regular pace while the availability of engineers remains limited,” notes Frost & Sullivan senior research analyst Sujan Sami.
