Software for vision sensors

Cognex has unveiled Version 3.3 of its In-Sight Explorer software for its In-Sight vision sensors. The software includes new calibration, communication, and other tools that, according to the company, shorten integration time when engineers are deploying vision sensors in robotic guidance and inspection applications. The new software offers nonlinear calibration for improving repeatability by correcting for lens and perspective distortion, and it also includes robot drivers and sample code to facilitate integration.
