  • IEST releases conference program

By Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2006 2:00:00 AM

The technical program for the 24th Space Simulation Conference is now available from the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST). The conference will be held November 6–9 in Annapolis, MD.

This international forum provides an opportunity for engineers, technicians, and scientists to exchange ideas about simulating the space environment in order to develop and test space mission hardware. The conference is hosted by the IEST and is cosponsored by NASA, AIAA, ASTM, Canadian Space Agency (CSA), and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHUAPL).

Tutorials will include cryogenic handling and safety; leak-checking techniques; vibration isolation; and acoustic testing on demand. The technical program offers sessions on data acquisition and analysis, contamination, thermal-vacuum testing, simulations, and structural dynamics testing. www.spacesimcon.org.
