The Jade LR is a third-generation thermal camera from Cedip Infrared Systems capable of delivering high-quality, long-range images for fixed-position surveillance applications by day or night, even in bad weather.
Based on a trifocal design, the camera employs motorized lenses with focal lengths of 25 mm, 80 mm, and 320 mm—switchable by a single command—to provide optimal detection, recognition, and identification at distances ranging from 5 km to 25 km. It also incorporates a sensitive InSb focal plane array that operates in the 3-µm to 5-µm waveband in full snap-shot mode. The Jade LR provides a spatial resolution of 320x256 pixels. You can operate the camera remotely through a communication line with the video image supplied in either analog or digital RS-422 format.
The Jade LR comes in a compact weatherproof housing and complies with military specifications for thermal IR measurement in airborne, naval, and ground operations. When used with Cedip’s intuitive ALTAIR software, the Jade LR produces a 14-bit digital data stream to display IR imagery, as well as radiometric calibrated data.
