The Semiconductor Test Consortium (STC; San Diego, CA, USA) has released the first draft of its Open Semiconductor Test Architecture (OpenStar) specification. OpenStar aims to deliver an open semiconductor test architecture that provides hardware and software interoperability for SoC and other complex logic devices.
STC is a newly incorporated nonprofit organization, which has over 30 worldwide companies signed up. The draft outlines the architecture's key features, including hardware, software, interfaces, and integration characteristics.
In addition, STC has released initial versions of hardware and software development kits, and outlined plans to release product validation procedures and deploy hardware and software development support services. www.semitest.org/site/News/June303PressRelease
