  • High-shock accelerometers

    Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2006 2:00:00 AM

The 71 series of subminiature surface-mount piezoresistive accelerometers from Endevco has resonant frequencies from 180 kHz to 700 kHz and zero damping for shock measurements ranging from 6000 g to 60,000 g. The devices respond accurately to the fast rise time and short-duration shock events typical of kinetic impact testing and high-shock component test applications. Sensitivities range from 3 µV/g to 30 µV/g. With a frequency response extending down to DC, these transducers can be used to measure long-duration transients.
