ITC 2008: OptimalTest to provide test-management software to STATS ChipPAC

OptimalTest said at the International Test Conference that it has signed an agreement with STATS ChipPAC to provide OptimalTest’s Station Controller software as a test-management tool. The first implementation of OptimalTest’s Test Floor Operations software will be in STATS ChipPAC’s operation in South Korea, with a subsequent rollout to STATS ChipPAC’s other manufacturing sites worldwide, OptimalTest reported.
Said Jean Emmanuel Perdereau, test R&D VP at STATS ChipPAC “The implementation of a real-time controller in the Station Controller solution that is universal across test equipment and product devices, together with its other post process data analysis features, will support our efforts to achieve greater operational efficiencies.”
OptimalTest’s Station Controller software provides real-time production control for testers, probers, handlers, and test programs. It is also process and device independent and supports parallelism. It controls and adapts test programs and is not limited by hard-coded algorithms. It can work in standalone mode or in conjunction with other OptimalTest software to provide functions such as yield learning and reclamation, test-time reduction, and outlier detection.
