B&K Precision has introduced the Model 4051 programmable multifunction generator, priced at $1099. In addition to standard function-generator features, the Model 4051 adds an adjustable 80-W triple-output switching power supply, a 35-MHz universal logic probe, an autoranging frequency counter, and an autoranging digital voltmeter.
The unit includes a 20-MHz sweep function generator capable of producing precision sine, square, triangle, +/- pulse, or +/- ramp waves from 0.15 Hz to 20 MHz in eight ranges, embracing subaudible, audio, ultrasonic, and RF applications. A continuously variable DC offset allows the output to be injected directly into circuits at the correct DC bias level.
Measuring 5.3 x 9.5 x 10.5 in., the Model 4051 weighs 7.5 lbs.
