Upgraded DAQ System Responds to Customer Demand
-- Test & Measurement World, 11/1/2005 10:46:00 AM
A new version of the Radstone ICS daqPC data-acquisition, storage, and network system offers higher sustained recording and playback speed. The recent upgrade, spurred by customer feedback, takes continuous recording and playback speed from 400 Mbytes/s to 600 Mbytes/s.
The PC-based unit is available in rack-mount and portable versions and is integrated for real-time applications that require acquisition, processing, and archiving of analog input signals. The 600 Mbytes/s speed implies that at a 200 kHz/channel sample rate, up to 1500 channels of data (each digitized with a 16-bit ADC) can be recorded in real-time. Alternatively, three 40 MHz bandwidth (flat-top) signals (sampled at 100 MHz rate) can be recorded in real-time. It is capable of analog playback of recorded data, features a 1 Gigabit network interface, and supports time stamping recorded data. Radstone Embedded Computing, www.radstone.co.uk.
