  • ANSYS and Granta streamline CAE processes

    Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 8/1/2006 2:00:00 AM

ANSYS, maker of the ANSYS Workbench simulation platform, and Granta Design, a developer of software for corporate materials information management, have announced the interoperability of their systems. ANSYS Workbench users in engineering design can now import and apply critical materials data from GRANTA MI, Granta's material intelligence system. This allows engineers in industries such as aerospace, defense, energy, and medical devices to use the available information in product analysis and design. The technology enabling this integration is bundled with all GRANTA MI installations.

ANSYS users will also benefit from GRANTA MI's third-party reference data collection, including MMPDS aerospace metals and fasteners (formerly MIL-HDBK-5), ESDU aerospace metallic materials data handbook, ASM data, and NIST lead-free solders. www.ansys.com; www.grantadesign.com.
