Anritsu provides HSUPA test case

Anritsu has announced the completion of what it calls the first 3GPP High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) protocol conformance test case, which forms a critical element in the delivery of high-speed data rates on 3G mobile networks. The test checks uplink data transfer rates from a mobile terminal to the network at 5.7 Mbps instead of the previous rate of 384 kbps.
Anritsu says it is the first T&M company to submit such a test case to the 3GPP. As part of the 3GPP Release 6 specification, the TS34.123 test case 8.2.6.50 was submitted to the 3GPP RAN-5 working group for approval in early September. The test case was debugged on Anritsu’s protocol test system, and it runs on the company’s MD8480C WCDMA signaling tester, which was launched earlier this year for WCDMA/GSM/GPRS and HSDPA/HSUPA terminals. www.anritsu.co.uk
