Gateway transfers data from CAN to Ethernet

The EtherCAN gateway from esd electronics controls data transfers between the controller area network (CAN) and Ethernet buses, allowing multiple networks to be linked over long distances. The EtherCAN package includes an NET +50 ARM processor, an ELLSI programming package, an Ethernet interface, a CAN interface, and a driver to enable PCs to access multiple CAN sites for diagnostic or monitoring purposes.
Software drivers for access EtherCAN from a PC are available for Windows NT/2000/XP and Linux. Protocols include TCP/IP and Modbus/TCP. Using the integrated Web server, users can log into the CAN network from anywhere in the world.
