  • Software optimizes anechoic chamber

    Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2006 2:00:00 AM

Flomerics reports that Siepel, a manufacturer of anechoic chambers, has used the Flowmerics MicroStripes software to simulate the performance of one of its chamber to within 1 dB. The ANSI C63-4 and EN50147-2 standards for electromagnetic compatibility require that the finished chamber be able to duplicate the performance of an open area test site to within 4 dB.

MicroStripes uses solver technology based on the 3-D time-domain transmission line method. The solver tolerates rapid changes in grid density, large aspect ratios of grid cells, and localized griding, enabling the mesh requirements to be kept to a minimum. www.flomerics.com.
