Aeroflex and STI announce site survey software

Aeroflex has announced an agreement with Survey Technologies Inc. (STI) to distribute STI's Field Test 6 site survey software for use with the Aeroflex 2975 radio test set.
The 2975 coupled with the Field Test 6 software adds the ability to perform site surveys of signal-strength as well as Analog SINAD or Digital P25 BER measurements. The software can produce color contour maps of signal coverage. The P25 BER measurement capability requires the use of an optional RX BER meter, which can be interfaced to a P25 radio that supports raw data output through its side connector. The software can be configured to monitor multiple channels or frequencies of interest to verify system performance. In addition, the software supports the ability to do in-building surveys where a bit map image of a floor plan may be used for indoor location reference.
Field Test 6 software comes with a USB GPS receiver, tile-analysis and indoor-measurement packages, and a software driver for the Aeroflex 2975 radio test set.
