ESPN STAR Sports adds Tek equipment

Tektronix has announced that Asia's number one sports broadcaster, ESPN STAR Sports, has ordered WVR600 Series rasterizers to ensure consistent quality control in its recently updated transmission facility in Singapore. The WVR600 Series monitors analog and digital video and audio signals.
"We were looking for an SD-SDI monitoring solution that would allow us to monitor our transmission output and verify signal quality," said Andy Rylance, director of engineering at ESPN Star Sports. "Tektronix' WVR610A is a natural solution as it is extremely easy for all our technical staff to learn and use and gives concise indication of signal quality and levels."
The WVR600 Series Waveform Rasterizer is a rack-monitoring system available in two models. The WVR610A has two SD-SDI inputs, while the WVR611A has two SD-SDI and two composite inputs. The WVR600 Series is also designed with optional audio monitoring capabilities.
ESPN STAR Sports is a joint venture between two cable and satellite broadcasters, ESPN and STAR. ESPN STAR Sports reaches over 110 million households for ESPN and over 54 million households for STAR Sports
