Advantech fanless computer suits embedded automation

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech offers the UNO-3282, an embedded automation computer leveraging a fanless box design with no internal cabling. Powered by a 1.5-GHz Core 2 Duo processor, the UNO-3282 can fulfill a wide variety of applications in wide-ranging sectors like machine automation, production automation, factory automation, and intelligent transportation systems.
The computer provides one PCI slot and one PCI Express slot for I/O expansion. It also includes a kit that allows you to replace the PCI/PCI Express combination with two standard PCI slots. With two Gigabit LAN ports, four serial ports, and four USB ports, as well as VGA and DVI-D connections to support dual displays, the UNO-3282 easily connects multiple peripheral devices without extra wiring, while extending I/O, vision, and audio functions for different field requests.
You can configure the UNO-3282 with an internal CompactFlash solid-state drive or 2.5-in. hard drive. It comes with 1 Gbyte of DDR2 SDRAM and 512 kbytes of battery-backup SRAM. The UNO-3282 supports Windows XP Embedded, Windows 2000/XP/Vista, and Embedded Linux. Prices start at $2100.
