Combining a digital camera and a complete PC in a very small housing, the eXcite system enables the integration of complex vision applications at frame rates ranging from 60 to 180 frames/s. At the heart of the Linux-based system is a 64-bit MIPS processor running at 1 GHz. USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and digital I/O connections adapt eXcite to a wide range of industrial applications.
