Requiring only a single slot in a PC/104 stack, the Janus MM from Diamond Systems incorporates dual CAN bus interfaces and optional GPS and wireless modem capabilities on a single board. The Janus MM simplifies the development of vehicle-based applications that can communicate on the vehicle network, determine the vehicle's location, and exchange information with a central location.
A dual UART on the module interfaces with two optional serial modules. One module can be either an 8-channel or 12-channel Trimble Navigation GPS receiver. The second module can be a MultiTech GSM/GPRS or CDMA wireless communication module. Base price: $225. Diamond Systems, www.diamondsystems.com
