Spirent tester validates triple-play service

Enhancements to Spirent’s Tech-X Plus field tester enable technicians to validate triple-play services at xDSL access points, as well as over the homeowner’s wireless network. Tech-X Plus increases the efficiency of triple-play service deployment with a modem that supports ADSL to VDSL2 and 802.11b/g wireless for testing and communicating with back-office systems. It verifies that VDSL/VDSL2 rates are sufficient to support bandwidth-intensive services, such as IP video, and subsequently tests the service anywhere along the local loop and within the customer’s home to enable rapid fault location.
