Machine-vision software leverages password protection
-- Test & Measurement World, 8/2/2006 2:39:00 PM
Release 7.1.1 of HALCON, MVTec's comprehensive machine vision software, offers password protection for external procedures through its integrated development environment, HDevelop.
With HDevelop, you can write and integrate external procedures, while the password protection controls the readability of the procedure after it is loaded into HDevelop. Moreover, unauthorized users will not be able to obtain information about the procedure’s algorithms by examining the files on hard disk.
Release 7.1.1 also offers HDevEngine, a library that works like an interpreter and lets you directly load and execute HDevelop programs and procedures from within a Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, C++, C#, or Delphi application.
HALCON provides an extensive library of more than 1150 operators for blob analysis, morphology, pattern matching, metrology, 3D calibration, and binocular stereo vision. It supports a wide range of operating systems and provides interfaces to more than 50 frame grabbers and hundreds of industrial cameras (analog, CameraLink, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, and Gigabit Ethernet).
