Anritsu extends VNA frequency range
-- Test & Measurement World, 11/1/2009 1:00:00 AM
Anritsu has extended the low-end frequency of its MN469xB VectorStar four-port test sets, making the instruments the first microwave multiport VNAs (vector network analyzers) to measure down to 70 kHz, Anritsu reports. Two models are available: The MN4694B covers up to 40 GHz, while the MN4697B has a frequency range up to 70 GHz. Both include bias tees for active measurement applications. Measurement speeds of 30 µs/point make the MN469xB series suitable for both R&D and manufacturing environments.
The VectorStar provides four-port capability using an external test set driven by the base VNA. Dynamic range is 103 dB. The instrument includes a receiver with a +10-dBm 0.1-dB compression level at 70 GHz. A precision autocalibration function permits residual directivity of 42 dB at 70 GHz and up to 50 dB at 20 GHz.
