Agilent Technologies is collaborating with Hermon Labs to provide acoustic conformance testing for GSM/CDMA/W-CDMA/3GPP wireless handsets. Hermon Labs uses Agilent's 8960 wireless communications test set as a base-station emulator, along with its TCA 4100 software to control and measure tests in accordance with 3GPP TS 51.010-1 and TS 26.131/2 acoustic standards.
Since the conformance test processes have been validated on the Agilent 8960, all cellular formats are supported on one platform, resulting in a comprehensive and cost-effective acoustic test solution for 2G and 3G, including HSPA+, E-EDGE, and eHRPD. All acoustic conformance tests are controlled from one turnkey solution with results exported into a convenient Microsoft Word document.
