  • Program an analog amplifier/filter with software

    Program a low-pass filter's corner frequency from 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz.

Martin Rowe -- Test & Measurement World, 11/18/2009 1:34:08 PM

The USBPGF-S1 instrumentation amplifier and eight-pole low-pass filter from Alligator Technologies lets you reduce aliasing in data-acquisition systems. You can program the low-pass filter's corner frequency from 0.1 Hz to 200 kHz (depending on filter configuration) with 90 dB of attenuation. Once programmed with included software, the filter stores its configuration in nonvolatile memory and thus doesn't need the USB connection. It does need 12-V power for its active circuits. Filters include Bessel, Butterworth, Cauer/Elliptic, and Linear Phase.
