  • ZTEC extends instrument software's OS support

    -- Test & Measurement World, 1/19/2010 7:00:00 AM

ZTEC Instruments has updated the software package that comes with its M-Class family of oscilloscopes and waveform generators to allow operation with Windows 7, as well as 64-bit versions of the popular operating system. This latest software release is included with all M-Class instruments on all available platforms: PCI, PXI, VXI, and LXI.

The standard instrument software furnishes drivers for common programming environments, such as C/C++, IVI-C, LabView, and COM, plus ZWave or ZScope control software and ZFind Resource Manager. ZWave and ZScope each provide an intuitive software interface that delivers the look and feel of a bench top function generator and oscilloscope, respectively.

In addition, the updated software offers streamlined LXI instrument discovery. Users can now easily discover their instruments using the ZFind Resource Manager without any knowledge of the IP address. The discovery process consists of three simple steps: search, select, and add. This enhancement is available under both Windows and Linux.
