Microlab's 700/850-MHz diplexer suits indoor combining systems
-- Test & Measurement World, 1/20/2010 7:00:00 AM
You can use the BK-71N, a 700/850-MHz diplexer from Microlab, to separate and combine the 700-MHz LTE and 850-MHz cellular bands. Tuned cavities provide in excess of 50 dB of isolation between bands, sufficient for most indoor diplexer applications, such as sharing a common antenna or distributed antenna system. The modest size of the BK-71N diplexer also makes it suitable for use in neutral host combiner boxes. The low band extends from 698 MHz to 793 MHz, incorporating all proposed 700-MHz bands, while the 850-MHz band spans 824 MHz to 894 MHz, which includes the most common CDMA/cellular bands and the GSM-850 band. To minimize band inter-reaction, the inputs are well isolated and have minimal insertion loss over their respective frequency bands. Both inputs are rated for up to 100 W of input power.
The RoHS-compliant BK-71N diplexer is available for evaluation from Microlab and selected distributors.
