  • Dytran accelerometer operates at high temperatures

    -- Test & Measurement World, 2/8/2010 7:00:00 AM

Intended for vibration studies in high-temperature environments, the Model 3092C accelerometer from Dytran withstands temperatures ranging from –60°F to +900°F (–51°C to +482°C). This piezoelectric charge-output device has a nominal sensitivity of 5 pC/g and an upper frequency range of 5000 Hz.

You can use the Model 3092C accelerometer for turbine-engine vibration monitoring, vibration studies of automotive engine and exhaust systems, and general-purpose vibration measurements under extreme temperature conditions. The accelerometer employs a 10-32 radial connector, a 10-32 mounting hole, stainless-steel construction, and a hermetic seal. It mates with Dytran's hardline cable assembly, Model 6894AXX.

The Model 3092C accelerometer costs $949.
