Teseq system tests EMC signals up to 6 GHz

The ITS 6006 immunity test system from Teseq lets you perform radiated EMC emissions testing over an extended frequency range of 80 MHz to 6 GHz. Useful for a wide variety of EMC applications, the system comprises an RF signal generator with AM and PM modulators, RF switches, inputs for up to three external power meters, EUT monitoring and control ports, amplifier control outputs, and software for comprehensive EMC testing.

Teseq claims that the ITS 6006 is a cost-effective, integrated system with simplified cabling, connections, and setup time, which results in less error sources, insertion loss, and space required to house the unit. The system also leverages 6-GHz broadband compatibility of all included components.

Digital inputs and outputs are combined with analog and optical inputs for increased versatility and functionality. Multiple EUTs can be monitored and controlled via the ITS 6006's four TTL outputs and eight inputs, which include two digital inputs with a voltage range of 0 V to 24 V, one analog port, and one optical port.

An integrated RF switch network allows the RF signal generator to be switched to one of up to four directly connected power amplifiers. Two additional RF switches can be used to combine two amplifier output paths into a single antenna connection. In addition, two RF power meters are available with ranges from 10 MHz to 6 GHz and from -40 dBm to +20 dBm. Up to three PMR 6006 power-meter units can be directly connected to the ITS 6006 with software that allows multiple power-meter readings simultaneously. The other power meter, the PMU 6006, connects to and is powered from the USB interface.

The ITS 6006 network can be controlled remotely via an RS-232, LAN, or USB interface. It features a 3.5-in. TFT color display and is 19 in. wide by 4.25 in. high. A storage box for the system is 23.5 in. long, 21.5 in. wide, and 14.5 in. high.
