Used for interfacing and controlling charge amplifiers and signal conditioners in general R&D and test laboratory environments, the Type 5697-DAQ from Kistler Instrument is a piezoelectric force-measurement data-acquisition system that runs under Kistler's DynoWare software. Housed inside a compact connection box, the data-acquisition system incorporates a 16-bit ADC with 28 channels and a trigger function. It connects to the host PC via a USB 2.0 port, while charge amplifiers and signal conditioners are remotely controlled through an RS-232 interface.Sampling frequency is configured with DynoWare software. A sampling rate of 125 ksamples/s can be achieved with eight measuring channels. DynoWare captures the signals from piezoelectric force sensors and dynamometers, converts them into readable information, and outputs the results into a presentable format. It is compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and includes several different functions for online visualization, signal evaluation, and calculation.
