Aimed at high-temperature applications, the FTI-E 1000 camera from Land Instruments combines high-resolution thermal imaging with accurate temperature measurement from 600°C to 3000°C (1100°F to 5400°F) over a range of four models. In addition, the FTI-E 1000 offers three field-of-view options. The FTI-E 1000 camera's high-resolution detector array coupled with precision optics enables it to resolve targets as small as 0.013 mm square, while software-driven image processing eliminates alignment issues. "With an operating waveband centered around 1 µm and a form factor compatible with existing System 4 and Uno mountings, Land can now provide an imaging solution for applications where traditionally an accurate and reliable measurement necessitated a short-wave single-point pyrometer," noted Paul Rowlett, market sector manager for Land Instruments International.
Land's dedicated software enables live images and video to be captured. Other image-capture functions include timed acquisition and a full range of temperature measurements (point, rectangle, polygon, isotherm, histogram, and area), plus color palette choices and a range of alarm functions.
