VIBpoint Framework Application software from Data Translation works with the company's DT9837 and DT8837 series of sound and vibration measurement products. The software provides an easy-to-use interface that lets you discover and select instrument modules, configure individual input-channel settings, and display acquired data during acquisition.

Compatible with all VIBpoint models, the software performs FFTs on the acquired analog-input data. FFT size and window type are user-selectable. FFT averaging modes include linear, exponential, and peak hold. In addition, you can configure all input channel settings, such as enable state, clock rate, AC/DC coupling, gain, counter, and tachometer edges. You can acquire data from all channels on one board or across multiple boards synchronized with a wired trigger bus (DT8837) or shared trigger/clock line (DT9837 series).

VIBpoint precision measurement products for vibration data acquisition, analysis, and monitoring offer both USB and Ethernet (LXI-compliant) communication options. The USB modules derive power directly from the USB bus, making them particularly useful for portable applications. Each unit accommodates 16 IEPE or voltage inputs, with a dedicated 24-bit delta-sigma ADC per channel. The VIBpoint hardware/software combination can be used for such applications as noise-emission monitoring, predictive maintenance, and shock analysis.
