Agilent Technologies has released the U7248A HSIC (High-Speed Inter-Chip) compliance test software for its 90000X, 90000, and 9000 series Infiniium real-time oscilloscopes running operating software revision 3.10 or higher. The software includes a full suite of physical-layer tests for automatically testing HSIC signals in accordance with the standard's requirements.HSIC is a USB chip-to-chip interconnect that uses two signals (strobe and data) in a source synchronous serial interface with 240-MHz DDR signaling to provide a high-speed 480-Mbps USB interface. The U7248 HSIC test software, in conjunction with the Agilent's N5464B USB protocol triggering and decoding software, provides debug and test capabilities that enable HSIC product developers to validate HSIC electrical and protocol compliance.
The U7248A HSIC software performs signal-quality testing for strobe and data, including rise and fall time measurements. It also provides device and host packet-parameter testing, data-eye and mask testing, and bus-state timing measurements.
Prices for the U7248A HSIC compliance test software start at approximately $6000. The N5464A/B USB protocol triggering and decoding software starts at approximately $1800.
