  • Mini thermocouple connector transmits data up to 300 ft

    Wireless device works with J, K, T, E, R, S, B, C, and N type thermocouples.

    -- Test & Measurement World, 1/30/2012 7:00:00 AM

Part of Omega Engineering's MWTC Smart Connector series, this miniature battery-powered thermocouple connector can wirelessly transmit temperature data to a mating receiver up to 300 ft away. It also records 65,400 process temperature data points or 32,700 process and ambient temperature data points. Stored data can then be downloaded to a PC via a direct USB connection.

The MWTC-D wireless connector is available in J, K, T, E, R, S, B, C, and N type thermocouple calibrations and includes built-in cold-junction compensation and linearization. During initial setup, the device can be set to transmit, transmit and record, or record-only at a preset time interval. What's more, you can connect multiple wireless connectors to a single 48-channel MWTC receiver.

The MWTC-D wireless thermocouple connector and datalogger costs $150. Prices for the MWTC receiver start at $40 for a 1-channel unit.
