The DesignCon 2012 exhibition took place January 31 and February 1 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Several exhibitors showed test products at DesignCon 2012. At the front of the Tektronix booth, attendees saw the MDO4000 Mixed-Domain Oscilloscope, T&MW's test product of the year.Agilent Technologies introduced the 86108B precision waveform analyzer module for the 86100C/D DCA
wide-bandwidth oscilloscope family. Click here or on the photo to read Bill Schweber's review of the product, which includes a video from the DesignCon exhibit hall.

National Instruments introduced Multisim version 12.0 software for analog circuit simulation. Multisim SPICE simulations can run inside LabVIEW, letting you set circuit parameters for the simulated analog circuit and run closed-loop simulations with the circuit inside a complete system. Rigol introduced the DG4000 series of waveform generators, which includes the DG4062, a 60-MHz unit and the DG4162, a 160-MHz model. The instruments can generate standard modulation signals such as AM, FM, PSK, QPSK, PWM, and others as well as 150 built-in waveforms as well as arbitrary waveforms. Rohde & Schwarz launched the ZNB network analyzer which uses a SET2DIL (single-ended to differential insertion loss) algorithm for testing and characterizing PCBs for signal losses. The algorithm is an SDD21 four-port frequency-domain measurement. Click here or on the image to seet a video demonstration of the ZNB measuring a PCB's loss.
