You can now configure the XG-8000 vision system from Keyence with line-scan cameras to give it an extra level of image processing. With simultaneous operation of up to eight cameras and high-speed triple-core processing, the upgraded XG-8000 is said to boost production and inspection performance.Sixteen color and monochrome camera options are available for the XG-8000, including both line-scan and area-scan cameras offering various speeds and resolutions. To simplify the setup process, Keyence line-scan cameras feature built-in visual LED indicators that display received light intensity and image sharpness.
According to Keyence, the XG-8000's new triple-core DSP significantly increases production/inspection throughput over conventional vision systems. High-load data processing of 5-Mpixel area-scan and 67-Mpixel line-scan camera images is achieved through distributed processing across three high-speed cores.
An HMI touch panel adds another option to the different ways you can interface with the XG. You can choose a handheld controller and remote desktop with Keyence software or VNC viewer, on top of the HMI touch panel, to perform online programming and editing.
The integrated development environment and flexible hardware configuration of the XG-8000 enable OEMs, integrators, and end-users to easily create a vision solution to meet their exact needs. What's more, compatibility issues are eliminated since all hardware is from the same manufacturer.
