MULTIMETERS iDVM iPhone and iPad Enabled Wireless Multimeter, Redfish Instruments ![]() The iDVM is a wireless multimeter that attaches to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch via a wireless network, allowing users to acquire, visualize, and share electrical measurement data on their Apple devices. The iDVM can measure voltage, current, and resistance at distances of up to 100 ft, enabling users to make measurements in unsafe environments and hard-to-reach places. Users can e-mail a jpg, pdf, or png graphics file or a csv data file to a colleague for analysis on an Apple device or a PC, or they can post the data to an ad hoc Web server or Dropbox. |

OPTICAL AND NETWORK TEST IxLoad Attack, Ixia ![]() Unfortunately, Ixia was unable to send a representative to the awards ceremony. IxLoad-Attack tests network security appliances to verify that they accurately block attacks while delivering a high-quality experience for mission-critical applications. With a database of more than 6000 unique attacks, IxLoad-Attack recreates malicious traffic that exploits published vulnerabilities and generates Internet-scale distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks in a controlled environment. With extensive vulnerabilities and evasion techniques, coupled with high-throughput test hardware, the solution tests network-security appliances and entire security setups in depth. |

OSCILLOSCOPES MDO4000 Mixed Domain Oscilloscope, Tektronix ![]() The Tektronix MDO4000 Series is the first oscilloscope on the market to include a built-in spectrum analyzer. It helps design engineers save time, as they can use a single instrument to look at time-correlated analog, digital, serial, and RF data and gain a complete system view of their devices. The MDO4000 combines both the time and frequency domains in a single screen, enabling engineers to seamlessly move between the two domains. Engineers can also view the RF spectrum at any point in time in their acquisition to find sources of noise, or to see how the spectrum changes over time or with device state. |

PHY TEST PVA-3000 PhyView Analyzer, Sifos Technologies ![]() Unfortunately, Sifos Technologies was unable to send a representative to the awards ceremony. The PVA-3000 PhyView Analyzer is designed to bridge the coverage gap between comprehensive Ethernet twisted-pair PHY-compliance testing and rudimentary link verification and packet-flow testing. The PVA-3000 introduces a multiport capability dedicated to 10/100/1000BaseT physical-layer characterization under controlled impairments including line loss, ingress noise, jittered or offset timing, and even Power-over-Ethernet. The PVA-3000 tests Ethernet switches and routers, discrete LAN interfaces, link-transmission components, and network-service integrity at any DTE interface. |
