Goepel upgrades repair-station software

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 3/1/2003

GOEPEL Electronic (Jena, Germany) has upgraded its OptiCon automated-optical-inspection (AOI) software that is used for verification and repair of inspected printed-circuit-board assemblies. Based on the "paperless repair" concept, the system's monitor provides a color display that guides a technician to failure points. It can provide a close-up view of a bad component and can display an adjacent image showing a good component, minimizing training time. It works with quality-management software packages to further the paperless repair process. http://www.goepel.com.
