FEV plans major expansion

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2003

FEV Engine Technology (Auburn Hills, MI) announced that it will nearly double the engine- and vehicle-test facilities of its North American Technical Center. The 15,000-ft2 expansion, which should be complete this summer, will include:

  • a vehicle lab and engine test cells,
  • a 300-kW transient dynamometer with dual in-line emissions bench, particulate tunnel, FTIR, and mass spectrometer for light-duty applications of gasoline and diesel engines,
  • dedicated vehicle bays for confidential customer testing, and
  • a vehicle/engine cold room.
