Samsung opts for Radcom
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2003
Samsung Networks, a Korean provider of corporate Internet services, is using Radcom's VoIP Performer system as part of its pre-deployment testing of business services. The testing uses multiple modules of the VoIP Performer, including voice and signaling expert systems, a PSTN and SS7 call quality tester, a SIP call generator, and an H.323 call generator.
The Radcom system allows control of its modules from a single console and permits scripting to automate each module's tests. The VoIP Performer is useful for measuring Quality of Service and Grade of Service, voice quality, and bandwidth usage. In addition to supporting SIP and H.323, it also supports the MGCP and T.38 protocols.
"We selected Radcom because it met our desire to quickly identify and solve problems," says Mr. Kyungsup Yoon, manager of Samsung's INFRA technology team. "Working at the design, evaluation, and installation stages, we can test our systems and ensure successful deployment in mission-critical production environments."
