Tool verifies compliance with DO-178B

TTP-Verify, a cluster design verification tool verifies that safety-critical automotive and aerospace control systems comply with the DO-178B Level A standard. It does this by analyzing and automatically detecting faults in cluster designs. The product will be available for general release in October 2003. Software helps visualize test data

Tecplot is technical plotting software with x-y, 2-D, and 3-D capabilities for visualizing data from analyses, simulations and experiments. Tecplot 10, the latest release, includes new plotting tools, data-management tools, and an improved user interface. The new plotting tools include the ability to use multiple contour variables, polar plots, specular highlighting, RGB color flooding, and 3-D scatter symbols. The new version can also import image files. Amtec Engineering, Bellevue, WA. 303-399-6031; http://www.amtec.com .

System acquires and plays back data at 300 Mbytes/s

daqPC can record and play back data continuously at a rate of more than 300 Mbytes/s. The internal storage capacity is in excess of 1.4 Tbyte, and the 19-in. wide rack-mountable system is only 8.7 in. high. The dual SCSI 320-based RAID architecture uses the NTFS file system. Software manages test data

ICE-flow software helps test engineers manage the large amounts of test data that must be acquired, validated, processed, and distributed to others within an enterprise in a traceable way. It enables users to quickly scan through gigabytes of pertinent data, automatically detect anomalies, clean the data, and determine which channels out of the hundreds that were measured are important for durability engineering purposes. nCode International, Troy, MI. 248-945-4357; http://www.ncode.com .

Humidity generator is compact and mobile

The Model 2500 Two-Pressure Humidity Generator is compact and completely mobile, providing NIST-traceable calibration of humidity sensors both on-site and in the field. The two-pressure technique was recently validated by NCSL as the intrinsic/derived standard for humidity calibration (RISP-5). The system is capable of continuously supplying accurately known humidity values for instrument calibration, evaluation, and verification as well as for environmental testing. Software adds digital video feature

DAVIS-CAR, a measurement data management system, can now acquire digital video along with measurement data during test drives. It records the video data through an IEEE 1394 Firewire interface synchronously with other measured data to better allow engineers to correlate observed events with measurement data. Users can configure the way measurement data, such as waveforms or images from an ultrasonic or radar scanner, is displayed within the video stream in realtime. VME Waveform Generator

Plugged into the VMEbus, the Model V375 four-channel arbitrary waveform generator offers output bandwidth to 300 kHz and a burst mode that allows software or an external input to trigger the generation of one or more waveform cycles. Each output channel has an analog summing stage that can mix up to four generated waveforms, plus one user waveform per channel. Four memory-table-driven waveform generators scan up to 65,536 discrete points per waveform at up to 15 MHz. The V375 furnishes 16-bit amplitude resolution and 32-bit frequency resolution. Base price: $4750. Highland Technology, San Francisco, CA. 415-753-5814; www.highlandtechnology.com.
