Anritsu achieves JCSS expanded recognition
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2003
Anritsu Customer Service Co. (Richardson, TX) has reached the level of Expanded Recognition in the JCSS (Japan Calibration Service System) traceability program recently instituted for test and measurement calibration in Japan. The program seeks to ensure that organizations can trace their instrument calibration directly back to the nation's Primary Measurement Standards and to ensure standards for technical capability, quality, and reliability. Such measurement traceability is becoming a prerequisite in global procurement. The Expanded Recognition certifies the company's calibration of high-frequency electronic measurement equipment, including network and spectrum analyzers, calibration receivers, and level meters operating from 10 MHz to 12 GHz. It also covers signal power generators for 10 µW to 10 mW in the same range.
With the additional certification, the company plans to double its calibration business, targeting sales in 2005 of more than 800M yen. The company can calibrate its own as well as other companies' products. http://www.anritsu.co.jp.
