CAN tester is transportable
MagicCAN II is a stand-alone test system for electronic vehicle control units that engineers and technicians can use at workstations or in the lab. It simulates both analog and digital signals and communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, and K-Line, and can be controlled by a personal computer via an Ethernet interface. The test sequencer software with adjustable parameter settings, debugger, and a test procedure control system is also included. USB device measures resistance and temperature
The Microlink 752 plugs into a PC's USB port and measures voltage, resistance, and temperature on up to 16 channels. It can also switch and monitor up to 24 digital inputs and outputs and control two analog voltages or currents. Windmill software is included to allow you to log data, chart data, and transfer data to other applications, such as Excel. Software extends test equipment
Technology Insertion into Legacy Systems (TILS) software helps companies support military and aerospace test systems whose service life may be up to 25 years. Running on a PC situated directly on a GPIB bus, or in a VXIbus or PXI system controller, the software allows test engineers to replace GPIB instruments with VXIbus or PXI instruments or build hybrid configurations. The software dynamically translates instrument commands, making it appear as though an older GPIB instrument were on the bus. Portable system measures squeaks and rattles
The SRE Squeak & Rattle Measurement System is portable and easy to use. Originally developed by the Ford Motor Co., it consists of a precision microphone connected to a laptop computer with a high-quality sound card. The system's software helps engineers combine subjective assessments with objective data to identify root causes. High-speed camera is PC compatible
The D-HSV i-Speed system can capture up to 32,000 frames/s with a resolution of 800x600 pixels. It stores the image directly to internal memory and easily downloads to a compact flash card on the camera or to a PC via Ethernet. The PC software allows users to rapidly preview the large Windows AVI format files without a lengthy download. Difference amp first for 42 V
Analog Devices claims that the AD8205 is the first difference amplifier designed specifically for 42-V automotive systems. The amplifier has a wide input common mode voltage operational range of –2 V to +65 V, which allows the device to measure small differential voltages in the presence of high common mode voltages. Offset drift is less than 20 µV/°C, and the gain drift is less that 30 ppm/°C, up to 125°C. Analog Devices, Norwood, MA. 781-329-4700; http://www.analog.com .
Sim software uses abstract modeling
Version 5.0 of the Simulation Modeling Suite overcomes some of the limitations of Finite Element Modelling (FEM) by assigning attributes to an Abstract Model that is independent of the design geometry. The model maintains attribute assignments, and the software maps the attributes to the current design model after each design iteration.
