Addressing equipment and environments where space is limited, Vision Components has introduced the SBC50 single-board smart camera, which features a Sony 1/5-in. progressive-scan sensor and achieves a pixel resolution of 640x480. Its digital signal processor from Analog Devices features 8 Mbytes of DRAM and 2 Mbytes of FLASH ROM. The 60x60x15-mm camera features progressive-scan image capture, instant triggering, binning, and full-frame integration.
