High-speed vision sensor

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 2/1/2004

Combining image acquisition as fast as 1.4 ms with advanced measurement capability, the new F210 high-speed vision sensor from Omron Electronics permits faster measurement and inspection operations. The system features Omron's QUEST algorithm for optical character recognition and verification and features the new Edge-Code technology for defect detection as well as position and location verification. An Intelligent Light Source (ILS) controls the light source intensity and direction and can save user settings internally. The unit also provides internal trending for statistical process control and tolerance monitoring. The F210 is available with two cameras, offering multi-angle inspections or wide-area field-of-view measurements. Omron Electronics, Schaumburg, IL. 800-556-6766; www.info.omron.com .
