20-GHz RF component analyzer sports four-receiver architecture

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 2/1/2004

The 300-kHz to 20-GHz R3860A RF component analyzer features a four-port receiver architecture and a 5-ms/point sweep speed. Its receiver-per-port design eliminates the need for matrix switching when testing multiport devices. Incorporating proprietary analog technology and high-speed algorithms, the R3860A provides a typical system dynamic range of 125 dB at 8.0 GHz. In addition, the R3860A features typical trace noise of 0.0025 dBrms, which is half the level of previous Advantest analyzers. The R3860A provides automated calibration at 20 GHz.

Base price: $49,200. Advantest America Measuring Solutions, Edison, NJ. 866-414-0870; www.advantest.com/instruments.
