Replacing the Fluke 1550, the 1550B MegOhmMeter combines insulation resistance testing up to 5000 V with measurement storage and PC interface software for installation testing, preventative maintenance, and commissioning. Test voltages are programmable in 50-V steps from 250 V to 1000 V and in 100-V steps from 1000 V to 5000 V. The unit automatically calculates dielectric absorption and polarization index with no setup. It also furnishes measurement storage in 99 memory locations and an incremental ramp function from 0 to 5000 VDC for breakdown testing. Price: $3095.
