With a bandwidth of 6.5 GHz, the SG-BGA-6099 socket accommodates 1.0-mm pitch, 829-ball BGA packages, such as the AMD 16-038 BGA, without compromising performance in very-high-speed computing and communications applications. The ZIF socket is 7.5 mm high and only 2.5 mm per side larger than the actual IC package, minimizing the footprint on system boards. It dissipates up to 8 W using a compact finned aluminum heatsink.
