AdvancedTCA specification, the CO-Star 19-in., 13U system furnishes a 14-slot,
5-Gbps backplane in a dual-star configuration. Dual-dual star and full-mesh
configurations are available as special order. Two rear-mounted power entry
modules equipped with common-mode and differential-mode EMC filters distribute
power in a redundant arrangement. The system also includes two Force Computers
shelf-management controllers and field-replaceable fan trays. CO-Star achieves
high individual MTBF figures for each of its functions. Price: $10,730 (10
