Broadband analyzer adds measurement capabilities
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2004
Aeroflex has added new signal-measurement capabilities to its Celerity CS35000 Series Broadband Signal Analyzer and Recorder family (BSA) of modular test systems, which are designed to capture, analyze, and record high-speed broadband signals. Configurable up to 600 MHz, the CS35000 Series BSA performs simultaneous measurements of frequency, time, and multiple demodulation parameters. It combines the test capabilities of a spectrum analyzer, deep memory logic analyzer, and oscilloscope.
In addition to the existing PSK and QAM demodulation modules, the CS35000 Series offers new software modules for FSK, MSK, and AM/FM demodulation, and it can now perform radio-specific analysis of the military SINCGARS (Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System) and LINK-16 systems. The instrument can now measure EVM, adjacent channel power, multiple channel power, and symbol rates. Other new features include parameter strip-chart display, parameter-based triggering, parameter logging, frequency-based analysis, simultaneous parameter analysis, time tagging on logged data, and analysis on real-time or captured signals.
All signals are displayed in one window where the user can monitor up to 12 displays at once, all updating in real time. Software features and DSP-based analysis modules can characterize signals captured in BSA hardware or loaded from stored signal files.
