Sample all eight channels in your pocket
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2004
Measurement Computing has packed eight ADCs into its pocket-size Personal Measurement Device package. The PMD-1608FS can simultaneously sample on all eight channels and send the data to a PC through its USB port. Measurement Computing also packed the PDM-1608FS with 16-bit resolution.
The PMD-1608FS is no slowpoke, either. It samples at 50 ksamples/s when running one or two channels. For three to eight channels, it samples at an aggregate 100 ksamples/s. For example, it samples at 12.5 ksamples/s on each channel when running eight channels.
Besides providing eight single-ended analog inputs, the PMD-1608FS has eight digital I/O lines and contains a 32-bit timer/counter. You can program the instrument with a universal library or use TracerDaq, a free oscilloscope/chart recorder/datalogger software package.
